Off the beaten track
Since 2004 we have specialised in destinations most operators overlook — places where travellers can still find genuine encounters and real discovery.
About Undiscovered Destinations
A small team of seasoned travellers and destination specialists — planning small-group adventures and tailor-made journeys to the world's most rewarding corners since 2004.
Our story
Undiscovered Destinations was founded in Newcastle in 2004 with a single conviction — that the best journeys are the ones most operators are unwilling to run.
Two decades on, we still build trips around that idea. Small groups, real partners on the ground, itineraries shaped by people who have walked the routes themselves. We send travellers to Kurdistan, Bhutan, Guyana, Turkmenistan — and to quieter pockets of more familiar countries that most visitors never see.
Behind every itinerary is a specialist who knows the destination personally. That is the difference between a brochure and a real recommendation, and it is what the team below is here to do.
Meet the team
Each member of the UD team has lived and travelled in the regions they look after. Pick the specialist for your destination and speak to them directly.
What we believe
Since 2004 we have specialised in destinations most operators overlook — places where travellers can still find genuine encounters and real discovery.
A maximum of twelve travellers per group keeps the experience personal — for our guests, for our local partners and for the communities we visit.
We work with locally-owned partners wherever possible, pay them fairly and choose itineraries that leave the lightest possible footprint.
Speak to one of the team about a group departure, or start the conversation about a tailor-made trip designed entirely around you.
